Science Lesson Plans
Here are some lesson plans that address standards and integrate
technology and your curriculum.
TISS
- Technology
Integration Scope and Sequence, though pre-dating Canvastic,
has dozens of K-5 lesson plans that integrate standards based curriculum
and publishing software. Canvastic will be an excellent tool for
many of those activities.

Life Cycle Slide Show has the students
draw, label and describe the parts of a life cycle of an animal
or plant that undergoes changes. The stages of life are created
on different documents, then those pages are assembled into a show. This
activity take 2-3 class periods. The activity can be shortened by
just producing one document that shows all the stages. Grades 1-3.
Relative Position and Motion Slide Show
has students create a slide show demonstrating their understanding
of the relative position of objects and the relative motion of objects
in relation to other objects. This project can be used as a summative
assessment of student understanding of relative position and motion.
This activity takes about 5 sessions. The actual slides are created
as separate documents and they can be combined into a show. Grades
4-6.
Write a Book(let) is a generic
plan for publishing material in a booklet form. Publishing in this
form can make any curriculum integration motivating and useful.
Any content that has more than one part can be adapted to be published
into a booklet. These booklets do not require printing on both sides
of the paper!
